Tango is one of the most dramatic and fascinating dance. Tango is an earthy dance with rooted charm. This form of dance was originated in far Spain or according to some other research Morocco. Spanish took it to other parts of the world and that’s how it spread it. During the journey tango was mixed up with black and Creole influences. During the initial days, tango was solely performed by a female. It came into a different version with introduction of Andalusian tango in which a couple or two used to perform together. Tango was further popularized with introduction of Ballroom tango. The origin of later form of dance traces its roots to Buenos Aires in Argentina. Men used to wear high boots and women full skirts while performing.

Tango shares a lot of similarity with ballroom dance though the former is considered more dramatic. Tango involves walking movements which make it very appealing to watch. There is no consistency in the movements of tango. It depends upon the occasion and performers. Sometimes it could be quite sharp disjointed whereas some other times it is delightfully slow and slithery. Tango involves elements of counter clockwise flow of movement around the dance floor. However, in comparison of ballroom dance to tango movements show lesser sense of urgency. Ballroom dance is also more consistent and smooth. But as mentioned earlier drama is an inherent part of tango moves so be prepared of some unpredictable moves.
