The famous women’s choir Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares, has consistently been on top of the charts across the Europe. The choir made concept of polyphonic singing popular in the country. Apart from that, bagpipes, wooden kavel and wild welding music are other terms Bulgarian music is associated with. Instruments like kaval, gaida and gadulka are frequently used in popular Bulgarian compositions. Talking about popular singers of the country, name of Clarinettist Ivo Papasov comes to the mind.
